What’s new in Policy Insights
Feature enhancements in this release are designed to improve how you search for, view, and work with policy documents.
Search quality improvements
Improvements have been made in the accuracy of document retrieval on the search results page. You should now see more relevant documents on the first page. The documents on subsequent pages will be related to your search query, but may not be as relevant as the first few pages. Just like in other search engines, you don’t need to read them all; you decide when to stop reading based on the reducing quality of the results on subsequent page.
- The document snippets on the search results page have been redesigned to be more concise and to allow you to quickly ascertain whether you want to consume the relevant content within the PDF or quickly move onto the next document.
- Emphasis has been added to the snippets so that you can easily see the combination of keywords/phrases that caused each document to be relevant to your search query.
NCCI edits updated to latest quarter
When searching for medical billing codes (CDT, CPT or HCPCS), the search results reflect the most up-to-date information from the latest available NCCI edits.
- (2829) If you search for a single billing code and subsequently edit the search (by selecting the Refine link and adding/removing items to/from the list), the search results are not refreshed.
