What’s new or changed for the care team

Updates to the

    to be completed today.

Creating tasks for a care
team role
When you are planning an individual’s care, you can now create a task and assign it to the care
team role that you know typically carries out that particular task. Care team members, who are part
of the client’s care team, can view unassigned tasks for their role on the Unassigned tasks list in
the care manager workspace or on the Unassigned team tasks list in the client summary view. Then,
care team members can pick up a task from the unassigned list, and assign it to themselves to
complete.

Planning care

Planning clients’ services
Services are the delivery of care or goods to an individual. A service is typically delivered by
a provider at a cost per unit. For example, a home care agency can deliver 2 hours of care at an
hourly rate, or an equipment provider can deliver a hearing aid at a specified price. Services can
now be added to an individual’s care plan and associated with the care plan goals. You can add
services that are recommended for a goal or you can search for a service to add to the plan.

Working with Client data

Adding client data
  • When you enter and view a client’s vitals data, the measurement value and measurement units now
display side by side. You can change the measurement unit from the default unit, for example, you
can enter weight in pounds or in kilograms.

Add new Blood Pressure window, showing the measurement units beside the measurement value. Click the image to enlarge.

  • You can mark a client’s identification number as the client’s preferred identification number.
If a client has multiple identification numbers, only one can be the preferred identification
    number.

Add new identification window, showing the Preferred Identification checkbox. Click the image to enlarge.

    • Unknown
    • Self Refused
    • Refused for Medical Reasons
  • There are new values for Medication frequency:
    • QD, AC (once a day, before meals)
    • QD, PC (once a day, after meals)
    • QD, INT (once a day, between meals)
    • BID, AC (twice a day, before meals)
    • BID, PC (twice a day, after meals)
    • TID, AC (three times a day, before meals)
    • TID, PC (three times a day, after meals)

Creating tasks from a program

To improve work flow by allowing tasks to be completed by any of a qualified pool of care team
members, now when you configure tasks to be automatically created based on any program status, you
can assign the task to a care team role as well as to a care team member. Tasks which are assigned
to a care team role can be viewed and assigned from the care team workspace unassigned list of any
user who fulfills that particular care team role. Tasks which are assigned to a care team role can
also be accessed from the team task list on the clients summary.

Defects resolved in this release

  • In Internet Explorer 11, photographs that are uploaded with a .jpg file extension do not display correctly. As a workaround, upload photos with a .jpeg extension. (189831)
  • Decimal values less than 1 that do not include a zero before decimal separator are saved as a whole number. For example, .5 is saved as 5.  As a workaround, include a 0 in front of the decimal separator.  For example, enter 0.5 instead of .5. (189278)
  • When files are uploaded, they are scanned for viruses. If a virus is detected, the file upload is prevented from completing but no warning message displays. (190572)

Known issues

  • When activating a new version of a configurable client data type, you may receive an error that states “The item could not be added to the codetable because the item already exists on this table”. As a workaround, if you receive this error delete the data type that you tried to activate. Then recreate and reconfigure it and then activate. (192063)
  • Action status is not displaying correctly on the Due Actions and Overdue Actions work lists accessed from the Care Manager Workspace. On these lists, status is displayed as “OPAS1001”. To see the correct status, expand the Side Navigation menu, and select Shortcuts > Actions. The Actions page displays the Action Status correctly. (191708)
  • On Android tablets, buttons do not display correctly on long panes, or on shorter panes that have the keyboard open. Buttons are transparent, cropped by the screen edge, and display below the pane. However, the button still functions correctly. (190132)
  • When you configure client data, the creation date of the data displays incorrectly if the data is created after midnight GMT but your local time is still the previous day. For example, if your local system is set to Pacific Standard Time, client data that you create on February 22 at 20:00 PST will be displayed in the system with a creation date of February 23.
