Disclaimer: IBM Cloud Tools for Swift (ICT) is no longer supported. Check out IBM Cloud App Service to take advantage of the same features of ICT in a more comprehensive experience for building Cloud Native applications in any programming language.
IBM Cloud Tools for Swift is a free Mac application that makes monitoring, managing and deploying end-to-end applications easy and intuitive. It is one of many tools created by IBM to simplify app development by bringing Swift to the Server.
With the release of version 1.2, we have added the following functionality:
- Logs: Click “Open Logs” on the Cloud Runtime Card for more robust monitoring and debugging of your applications. For detailed instructions, click here.
- Local Client Targeting: If your client app (front-end code) has a plist file configured with local and remote options, use ICT to change where it points. This makes testing much easier and quicker. For instructions on how to configure your plist file, click here.
- Create Supported Projects from Github: Automatically deploy GitHub projects to IBM Cloud that have a proper manifest.yml file. For instructions on how to create a GitHub project with this capability, click here.
If you haven’t already done so, download the latest version. We’d love your feedback, so please check out our survey. If you have any issues with the app, submit questions on dW Answers. Learn more about how IBM is simplifying app development with Swift on the Server by visiting our website.
