Create custom PowerReports in Envizi
Learn how to create, save, and edit custom PowerReports in EnviziPowerReport enables us to easily achieve complex and evolving reporting outcomes. With PowerReport, the reporting process within Envizi is seamless. It integrates your Envizi data with an easy-to-use, flexible reporting interface (PowerBI embedded), empowering you to report on what matters most.
PowerReports can be viewed, edited, saved, and kept private or shared with other Envizi users within your organization. This provides users the flexibility to navigate and respond to the changing reporting requirements of your organization.
In this tutorial, let's explore how to create a custom PowerReport in Envizi.

Prerequisite
Access to an Envizi instance with the PowerReport Edit work role is required.
Steps
Step 1. PowerReport Edit Permission
To create a custom PowerReport or to edit an existing PowerReport, the user needs to have the PowerReport Edit work role.

Step 2. PowerReport datasets
For customers who want to build their own reports, PowerReports can be built using Standard Datasets, available with their relevant modules. The following datasets are available in Envizi:
Monthly dataset: A comprehensive dataset containing monthly aggregated data from your Envizi platform. It powers the majority of Standard PowerReports across many modules and can be leveraged to build powerful custom reports directly in the Envizi platform. This dataset includes support for data type groups, ratios, and a range of standard data objects.
Survey dataset: Supports reporting on surveys and scorecards (surveys which include scoring) in Envizi’s PowerReport framework. The dataset includes all survey responses for all surveys that have at least one question answered. If a respondent has not filled in any answers, that location’s (which could represent a third party like a supplier or investee) survey response will not be included. This dataset contains survey responses and scoring for scorecard-type surveys.
Daily dataset: Includes a range of daily metrics derived from interval meter data. This dataset is supported via the Interval Meter Analytics module.
Step 3. PowerReport Edit
The existing PowerReport can be saved as a new copy and then edited.
3.1 Open the existing PowerReport
Open a PowerReport that you are interested in. Here, let's open the Monthly Dataset PowerReport.


The report is displayed.

3.2 Save a Copy
In the preceding screen, click on
Save a Copyto save a separate copy of the report.Enter the name for the report.
Click
Save.
Click
View Reportto open the saved report.
The report is displayed.

3.3 Edit home page
In the preceding screen, click
Editto open the report in the edit mode.The report is opened in Edit mode.

Update the heading section.

Clear the content of first two tiles.

Update the third tile content.

The home page of the report looks like this now.

3.4 Create a page
In the preceding screen, click
+to open a new page.Enter the page name as
Consumption.
Click on the Textbox icon from the menu.

Enter the text as
G12 - In Bank Consumption Report.
The content may look like as follows:

3.5 Create table data for consumption
From the Visualizations panel, choose the
Tableicon.From the Data panel, search for
Group.Choose the
Level 2 GroupandLevel 3 Group.The table gets displayed on the page with the L2 and L3 groups.

From the Data panel, search for
Location.Choose the
Location Name. TheLocation Nameis added to the existing table.
From the Data panel, search for
Energy.Choose
Energy.Energyis added to the existing table.
Position the Table to the top-left of the page.

3.6 Create country-wise consumption
From the Visualizations panel, choose the
Bar Charticon.From the Data panel, search for
Country.Choose
Country. A panel gets displayed on the page with the country.
From the Data panel, search for
Energy.Choose
Energy.Energyis added to the existing graph.
Position the Graph accordingly.

3.7 Create Level 3 group-wise consumption
From the Visualizations panel, choose the
Donut Charticon.From the Data panel, search for
Level.Choose the
Level 3 Group. A panel gets displayed on the page with the Level 3 group.
From the Data panel, search for
Energy.Choose
Energy.Energyis added to the existing graph.
3.8 Create Level 3 group-wise consumption along with previous year
From the Visualizations panel, choose the
Bar Charticon.From the Data panel, search for
Level.Choose the
Level 3 Group. A panel gets displayed on the page with the Level 3 group.
From the Data panel, search for
Energy.Choose
EnergyandEnergy PY.EnergyandEnergy PYare added to the existing graph.
3.9 Formatting the report
Choose the
Bar ChartGraph panel.From the Visualizations panel, choose the
Formaticon.Choose the
Generaltab.In the
Title > Title > Textbox, enter the title asComparing Energy Consumption with Previous Year.Choose the
Text Color.
In the
Title > SubTitle > Textbox, enter the title asLevel 3 Group.
Choose the
Title > Title > Background coloraccordingly for the panel heading.
Choose the
Effects > Background > coloraccordingly for the panel body.
Choose the
Energy by Countrybar chart panel.From the Visualizations panel, choose the
Formaticon.Choose the
Generaltab.Choose the
Effects > Background > coloraccordingly for the panel body.
3.10 Saving the report
Click
Saveto save the report.
Label the button as
Consumption Report.
3.10 Create account-level consumption page
In the preceding page, click on
+icon to create a page.Enter the page name as
Account Consumption.
Create a label with the text
Account level Consumption.
From the Visualizations panel, choose the
Pie charticon.From the Data panel, choose
EnergyandItem Name. They get added to the page.
3.11 Update home page
From the Home page, copy and paste the existing tile 3 content in to tile 2.

Change the labels of title and button accordingly in tile 3.
Choose the
Account Consumption Reportbutton.Choose the
Button > Action > Destinationvalue asAccount Consumption. (To enable the button click to open theAccount Consumptionpage.)
Click
Save.
3.12 Navigate from home page
Now the page is in the view mode.
Click on the
Consumption Reportbutton.
It opens the
Consumption Reportpage.
Click on the
Account Consumption Reportbutton.
It opens the
Account level Consumption Reportpage.
3.13 Create Filter
You can apply filters at the following levels: Entire Report Level, Page Level, or Panel Level.
Click
Editbutton to open the report in Edit mode.
The report is opened.

Open the
Consumptionpage.
Choose the
Filterspanel. See theFilters on all pages.
From the
Datapanel, drag and drop theLevel 1 Groupin to theFilters on all pagessection.
Select the
In Bankcheckbox to show only the data fromIn Bank.Click
Save.
The page is in view mode now.
The filters panel shows that the
In Bankis selected by default.
Choose some other value from
Level 1 Groupand the entire page refreshes accordingly.
3.14 Sharing the report
The created custom report is available exclusively for the current user.

Right click on the report.
Choose
Sharing.
Confirm the action by clicking
Yes.
The report is available for all the users now.
