See how to build an Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) system and visualize historical seismic datasets. The Node-RED flows in this demo observe the real-time OpenEEW accelerometer sensor data and calculate if the sensor might be experiencing seismic activity using an algorithm for vibration data. This project is just one of the many OpenEEW projects to which you can contribute.
With support from The Linux Foundation and IBM, Grillo’s OpnEEW project is now open source. This unique solution incorporates consumer-grade sensors, a cloud platform utilizing IBM services and an interface to share warnings across multiple devices or with specific organizations. Seismologists, developers and data scientists can all play a role in this project. Join the Call for Code community and contribute to these open source projects that are supported by The Linux Foundation.
