There are a wide range of benefits that cloud computing brings to the table. Benefits like scalability, cost reduction, recoverability and much more. But does hosting your app on the cloud grants you all these benefits right away? And how can you build your apps in a way that leverages the full power of the cloud?

Join us in this workshop where we will answer these questions and discuss concepts like containerization and cloud native applications. We’ll also teach you how to build your apps to be future proof, maintable and scalable to withstand heavy loads. In this workshop, we’ll introduce you to the IBM Cloud Platform where you can build and deploy your applications with ease. We’ll also tackle issues like traditional monolith applications and the problems it came with and how did the microservices architecture came to save the day.

Finally, we’ll have a hands on lab in which we will show you, step by step, how can you build and deploy your cloud-native applications on IBM Cloud using Redhat Openshift. We’ll also explain and demonstrate the power of using such architecture in terms of recoverability, maintainability and scalability.
