Overview

The three tutorials in this learning path help you understand how to install and configure X11 for your Linux system, understand the basics of the X Window configuration file and the components of desktop environments such as display managers and window managers, and manage access to the X server and display applications on remote X servers. You’ll learn about the popular Linux desktops such as KDE, GNOME, and Xfce and the protocols used to access desktops locally and remotely, including X11, XDMCP, VNC, SPICE, and RDP. Finally, you will also learn about accessibility and assistive technology that can enable physically challenged users to gain access to the digital world.
